Registry Week! How Can You Help?
Common Ground Santa Barbara has opened it’s sign ups for Registry Week and are currently seeking 400-500 volunteers to take place in a County-wide survey of the homeless population. The information from this survey will be compiled into a database which will indicate who the 50 most vulnerable homeless individuals in our County are. Once these individuals are located, they will become a priority for the limited services and permanent housing opportunities available.
Registry week will take place from February 27th 2011 through March 4th 2011.

BOCH Endorses the 100,000 Homes Campaign in SB County
On Monday, December 13, 2010, the Governing Board of Bringing Our Community Home endorsed the 100,000 Homes Campaign in Santa Barbara County. Together with Common Ground and a Leadership Team organized in part by BOCH, our goal is to house the 50 most vulnerable homeless in Santa Barbara County.
Our first step is to develop a comprehensive count of the homeless in our county, and to full understand the need. For those interested in being a part of this campaign, the Leadership Team is looking for 400 to 500 volunteers to participate in “Registry Week”, a 6-day county-wide survey of the homeless population (February 27 2011 – March 4 2011).
